Dear All,
Happy New Year to you all. I wish you all the best of everything.
New Year announcements - following completion of arrangements for
our social events.
1.
Ghanaian Day Free
on 13th January (2 to 5pm) at Brenford, St
Pauls Church Hall, Church of England, St Pauls Road, Brentford.
TW8 0PN remains a free social event. DJ ‘KOK’ of
MEGA FM will provide fantastic Ghanaian Music, Dr Ed. Hiller
will provide solo performances. Variety of food to suit
all tastes, especially Ghanaian delicacies will be served
by Motec volunteer cooks. You could leave the function with discounted Motec 2008 calendar, Special Anniversary Edition
of MotecT shirts, Ghanaian Art and Craft for keeps. All invited.
Come with your friends.
2.
I would like to invite you to the Charity gig in January in aid of
Motec. The evening starts at 8pm on Friday the 25th of January
2008 and will consist of two sets:
a) Deaf Shepherd (see
www.lemonrock.com/deafshepherd
for details and reviews)
b) Jenium, Sam's band, (www.myspace.com/jenium)
– Sam is Motec’s Welfare Officer’s (Steve) son.
The venue is the Maltings Art Theatre in St Albans city centre (next to the
Library in the Maltings shopping centre) - a lovely place to perform
and to watch. Parking spaces around the Maltings and the City
Centre. We are very grateful to the Theatre management for making
this event possible.
Be advised that this gig is not for the feint (of faint!) hearted
and will be loud and heavy, just the way we like it! There are
limited ticket sales and, if we sell all of them, it will not be
possible to pay on the door on the night. Tickets have been
priced (by the Maltings) at £12 each and they are available
from the Maltings Art Theatre box office on 01727 844222.
There is a strong indication that the tickets may run out soon so
buy now to avoid disappointment. It would be really, great to see
Motec and friends well represented at the function!
Counting on your support.
The Deaf Shepherd band chilling out.

Best regards from Motec
